| Growing a successful Web community is a lot like creating
and managing a social ecosystem. At NAIMA, we help clients assess
the social and economic landscape of their community, and design systems,
features and services that help the community flourish.
We provide four main types of design services:
strategy, tuneup, workshops, and incentive-based systems.
Community Strategy
Whether you're launching a new Web community, or redesigning an existing
one, NAIMA can help you develop a comprehensive community strategy to guide
your ongoing development efforts. We kickoff this process by sending you
an in-depth
community strategy questionnaire, and conducting a phone interview
to discuss the results and answer any initial questions.
Next, NAIMA will lead an onsite meeting with your community team to
develop a shared understanding of the vision and goals, and brainstorm
about desired features, programs and services. We'll then create and distribute
a document that summarizes the emerging community vision and features wish-list,
and work with your team to refine that vision and prioritize the
features list.
The final deliverable is a strategic roadmap and/or multi-phase implementation
plan that outlines the features, programs and policies needed to achieve
your objectives.
Community Tune-up
Sometimes, what your Web community needs is a "tune-up" -- that
is, an intensive evaluation that clarifies your objectives, identifies
existing problems and creates practical solutions. This process
starts with a wristten questionnaire and phone interview to asses
your context and goals, and continues with an all-day onsite meeting to
evaluate and discuss your existing features, programs and policies.
The final deliverable is a written list of suggestions for tuning
your community to better meet your strategic objectives.
Community Workshops & Seminars
If you'd like to teach your key staff members to develop successful
Web communities, NAIMA can provide a customized internal training seminar
for
your company. These seminars begin with a presentation of the essential
growth dyanmics and key design strategies for Web communities, and can
also include Q&A, brainstorming sessions, project reviews, and executive
briefings, depending on your requirements.
Incentive-based Community Systems
If your Web community needs a system to manage user-generated
opinions, content, reputation, or groups, we can help you design,
specify and build a robust, incentive-based system that's tailored
to your specific needs. This process begins with a scoping phase, which
is followed by intensive system analysis and design.
The final deliverable is a design document that addresses
the social and technical aspects of building and running your incentive-based
community system.
